Chronicles the activities of the Colorado Fuel and Iron Company’s many coal mines, iron mines and quarries as well as the rolling mills and steelworks, from December 14, 1901 to June 28, 1902. "Camp and Plant," a weekly periodical, was published by the Company’s Sociological Department to inform employees about the various activities of the company. The book contains reports contributed by correspondents from each active location as well as photographs, maps, and advertisements. Each issue has short articles or stories in German, Spanish, and Italian. It also contains features of special interest to women and children. The Sociological Department of The Colorado Fuel and Iron Company helped to establish night schools, kindergartens, circulating and permanent libraries, cooking schools, clubs and musical organizations at many of the camps and at the Minnequa Plant.
